LP mat

I have search some LP mats to replace my standard mat, some are good, some will probably work better on other table......

what mat are you using? :love_china:

the herbie is now my favorite, it adds "lush" to music, that's exactly what I need for my heavy table....good for my taste. :hello:

I still believe acrylic is a good material for LP replay, many manufacturers use it to make major components on their million bucks TT.

but not in my system....matching problem, or poor material used to make the mat? or wrong place?

at first the sound seems tighter, faster, but later I find it sounds not right ...... overdamp? :dont_un:

something is missing.....dunno how to describe

I believe it will be great in some soft/suspended system :question2:

a bit thin...compares to herbie...but better high :hello:

next is also well known by LP lovers....

the sound is "firm", "lively" but I like the herbie more in my system, i believe this will sound great in a soft/suspended system.

the bass is less well-defined compares to acrylic, but more "life" than the acrylic, not bad at all, and the high is good, but not as good as the Harmonix :love_china:

This is not a report. It is only a brief comparison made by a amature LP beginner, just for fun. Different equipments may have different results, different person may have different taste....you are welcome to make any comment.
