部機夠哂大部，實物比相靚好多，尤其係放0左入個TAOC架，好有氣勢，正！

部機設定簡單易用，set一陣就可以用mic做cal。

cal時間比起Yamaha 2600要耐好多，除0左subwoofer測錯距離外，其他都好準確。不過就冇Yamaha個cal咁，可以測埋喇叭相位。

Power總掣就收埋晌機面活門入面，起初我仲以為部機要長期standby添！

操作反應好快，我PS3同Marantz 9500都係用HDMI入Onkyo，再由佢HDMI出投影機，機轉機、停機畫面回播放畫面都速度反應都係快。

剛剛尋日駁完機，試了看了一會Ghost Rider Blue Ray用PCM 5.1由PS3去Onkyo，再用Neo 6+THX聽，聲音好自然，唔會一味誇大某一段頻段。不過可能部機新開箱，表現未夠放，同埋又未經仔細調校，電影感應該可以會再有進步。

又試了一陣功夫DVD，用Direct (DTS), DTS + THX，感覺此起以前用Yamaha 2600，就係開得大聲時聲音都一樣咁自然，微細聲音處理得更好。環繞聲連接高非常高。

不過我淨係用部機Pre-out，所以對佢power amp個部份就測試唔到。

但以佢聲底來講，拎來聽歌仔都應該有不俗表現。

我都係放晌200mm高果一格內，部機差唔多到頂，不過開了兩個鐘左右，機身都係微熱，唔係辣手果隻。

總括：幾千蚊又HDMI 1.3又日本做又THX Ultra 2又大部又對應Dobly True HD又DTS HD 又DTS Master Audio又乜又物，最緊要聲音表現有極大進步(相比起我以前用部989 version 2來講)，仲想點先？

Sony，Denon，Pioneer，Yamaha要咁樣spec，起碼過萬，仲分分鐘馬拉做，以價論貨，Onkyo叫抵玩，當然同級內，如加入個人因素就唔會個個俾個第一佢。

我自己講真就收貨，因為買了Onkyo，今年至到我退休都唔會再有錢買機，買碟都係應該冇錢，唯有開始物識D有錢朋友，搏佢地睇完睇厭肯借來睇算喇！

by the way, the auto setting for the subwoofer distance might not be wrong, because:

1) some brand of avamp has a slight time delay (due to crossover calculation and eq calculation), so the extra distance is for compensation for this time delay.

2) some subwoofers has its own group delay, so the avamp auto compensate for this delay and add extra distance for it. so, for a 10ms delay, it will add 3.3meter.

that's what I heard

Indeed, after the cal, I have added 4db for the subwoofer to get back a stronger bass.
