It's easy to get better result if you replace the original shelves of Solid Steel.

You can try another trick by drilling a hole on each vertical metal tube of the rack and fill it with a mixture of lead shots and play sand.

You can get the lead shots from gun club and the play sand from pet shop.

The mixture contains 1 : 3 ratio of lead shots to sand and the holes can be covered with silicone at last when you're satisfied with the sound.
