[b]New AV Hi Fi user, need some help!

Hi everybody!!

I'm new comer to this forum and have some problem about my existing home AV system config want to ask for your opinion.

Existing config:
1) Vacuum Tube Amplifier (Cayin HA300B)
2) TOSHIBA 37" FULL HD LCD TV
4) TOSHIBA HD DVD PLAYER (HD-EP10)
5) PC config (AMD 4800+ CPU, 2Gｒａｍ，GF 7600GT display, onboard sound)

Problems:
1) If 70% use for watch DVD film, audio base is not enough, should I add a sub-woofer? but I don't have new AV AMP, how to connect?

2) If I want to connect my PC to the LCD TV, what display card and sound card should I buy? (ATI 2400 XT, Onkyo SE-150 ) good? or any other better suggestion?

3) My budget is around $8k to improve my existing setup, what hardware (Brand and model) should I buy?

how do you connect the speakers at this moment?
If you buy an avamp, is more easy to connect a subwoofer

now I only use my vaccum tube AMP to connect the B&O speaker, listen CD is ok but when watching DVD, the base sound is so weak ......


I've just visited a Hi Fi shop this afternoon and the sales have the folloing suggestion:

1) use Onkyo TXSR 705 AMP which has pre-out function, so I can use back my vacuum tube AMP and speaker for front sound. $5300

2) for rear sound speaker use "Monitor Audio" BR1 $2250

3) for middle sound speaker use "Monitor Audio" LRCL $1980

4) for sub-woofer speaker use "Delta" SUB 8 $2100

5) for my PC use display card ATI 2600XT and sound card use "Onkyo SE-150" ($1000+1400)

Total budget =$15,000 (including speaker cables)


It's a bit over my budget, is it possible to buy 2nd hand speaker to lower the cost? anyone know any good 2nd hand speaker shop can recommend please?

Any better suggestion on the above setup? I think I can only afford $12k max.?

usually, rear speakers can be less, since it is not more important than center or front speakers
