You should have a step-down transformer for your Victor DVHS (100V) ??



Simple step-down transformer should be O.K. for initial check on basic operations.

All you need is 100W or safer using 200W.



For long term use of reasonable performance, below or more others can be considered.

Brothers above....I am not going to buy 9.8 since I have yet prepared myself to go for a power amp, however, for my own interest I have the following questions to ask:

(1) any extra benefit(s) apart from low distortion by using balance input/output? If connecting cables you guys using are short, will there be any different at all (compare to non balance)?
(2) is 9.8 a better pre-amp machine than those "hongs" goods in the market for example 905, 805, 4308, LX70 etc
(3) I heard you guys mentioned about real balance and fake balance before, what is it? How to test it is real or fake one and will there be big different between two (I know with great price difference)

Sorry for asking too many questions but I really don't know
