Do Not have full set M&K S150 speakers at present (only S150 centre, MPS1525 = SS150 surround, MX-350 & MX-70 sub) since I have no money as well as no time to get the outstanding S150 Front and SS150 rear back. May be in the coming future.
Anyway, I have listened at the M&K Showroom in Shanghai several times, the sound and surround effects from full set S150 system when watching movie are extremely good. Their showroom is over 300+ sq. feet. I do not know whether it is related to the settings or combinations of power amps and av controls ??
Besides, I have chance to visit Mark's home (AV100Fun brother) in Shanghai (with S150 front & S150 centre, 55 tripole surround x 4, 1250 sub). After setting by M&K expert, the sound effects for movie are very good as well. In China, M&K will go to your home to fine tune your settings but no such services in HK.
I may not agree M&K S150 is the best system for movie but I just want to point out it is a relatively good speaker system based on my past listening experience. May be my ears are no so good and I do not have great demand on "AV".
I need to emphasize the above is my personal view only and I have no relationship or connection with M&K. Just an ordinary AV100Fun member and is a low hand on AV subjects. I am sorry for Racingboy's relatively poor usage experience on S150. For other S150 owners and fans, don't be upset by the comparatively bad comments from Racing (as M&K is not his cup of tea).
If you have time, please go to M&K Shanghai new showroom to check out S150 and their flagship model S150PK. I think you will be amazed for their performance and have your own fair judgement.
