根據 CNBC 引述消息指，21世紀霍士（21st Century Fox）現正跟迪士尼洽談，將其大部份公司業務與迪士尼。資產中包括了電影片場、電視製作業務、娛樂業務，還有其他國際性公司的股份。

Two years ago, Disney made a landmark deal with rival movie studio Sony to bring a comic-book fan favorite, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, into Marvel’s multi-billion-dollar universe of interwoven superhero movies. The result, Spider-Man: Homecoming, was the best-reviewed and highest grossing movie about the web-slinger in a decade.

Now, a new deal between Disney and Fox could bring an even larger superhero franchise into the fold.

Disney has been in talks to buy most of 21st Century Fox, including movie studio 20th Century Fox, which has the film rights to Marvel’s X-Men characters, CNBC reported. The acquisition could unite the mutant group with Marvel’s heroes for the first time in movie history.

While Marvel Studios (which is owned by Disney) has regained the rights to properties in the past, this would undoubtedly be one of the studio’s most important acquisitions in its history given its potential. Fox’s claim to the X-Men has kept a number of key stories from Marvel’s comics involving mutants off the table for Marvel Studios in the past, but this deal could lay the groundwork for something like an Avengers vs. The X-Men film down the line.

Update: Bloomberg is now reporting that while talks between Disney and Fox did take place over the past few weeks, talks have now stalled. This doesn’t necessarily say anything about the potential deal one way or the other, but obviously, this story is developing.
