Marantz SACD/DVD Grounding

My friend just bought a SA15 but found that the original power cord only got 2 holes on the IEC side (meaning that no "water line").

He is wondering if other Marantz player such as 9500 is the same. thanks.

All the 行貨 electrical appliances sold in HK should come with a 13A socket outlet. Racingboy had told us that Marantz technician had to change the power cord of 9500 to suit HK regulation.

9500 is using 13A S/O.

hm...some said the SA15 is floating ground and that is why 2 legs...

But a mis-happenings is his amp's output was blown when connected and after phone conversation, the technician asked if the SACD has ground.

floating ground is not applicable in HK

My Marantz AV-amp SR-18EX has only 2 pins for the IEC socket. Infact a lot of Japanese appliances have only 2 pins, and normally it won't cause any problem.
